Kids, can come catch the spirit and celebrate PT Barnum’s 200th birthday by marching
in the parade. Registration begins at 9:00AM. Magician Amazing Andy will be there to
entertain! The parade starts at 11:00AM sharp.
FREE entrance to the zoo from 9:00AM until 12:00 noon.
Visit our foster care and adoption information booth while you’re there!
Parents and participants from babies to 12 years old are invited to decorate a float made
out of a stroller, wagon or anything else that can be pulled or pushed. Don’t want to make
a float? That’s O.K., just come in costume. There will be ribbons, trophies and CASH
prizes for the winners of Best in Show; Most Elaborate; Cutest; Most Patriotic;
Best Animal Theme; Best Group (i.e., Snow White & the Seven Dwarfs); Cleverest
and Best Costume.
After the parade there is wonderful FREE entertainment by clowns and magician
Danny Magic. Our awesome DJ will be playing kid’s favorite music for dancing and sing alongs.
We also have FREE face painting, tattoos, arts & crafts, books from the Bookmobile and games with prizes!!! Plus you’ll enjoy exciting exhibitions from local soccer, dance and karate schools.
You can win a ride on the famous Beardsley carousel and see over 300 animals, including
the regal tigers, the playful otters and the breathtaking rain forest exhibit.
